Nickolas M. Devio, 26
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Nickolas M. Devio, 26, of 153 Corinth St., died Monday, May 1, 2006, at North Adams Regional Hospital after being stricken earlier at his home.
Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 22, 1979, he was a son of Homer "Sonny" and Anne Gingras Devio of North Adams. He attended schools in Adams and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School with the class of 1997. He graduated from Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield in 2002.
Mr. Devio was employed at Applied Energy Management Co. in Lee as a journeyman electrician and was traveling through the country for the company.
He enjoyed the outdoors and camping. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed watching baseball, basketball and football, and playing golf. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his parents, he leaves his maternal grandmother, Mildred Gingras of Adams; a sister, Sunny Devio of North Adams; three brothers, Daniel "D.J." Stansfield of North Adams, Eric Stansfield of Adams and Ryan Devio of Clarksburg, and four nieces and a nephew, and aunts and uncles.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Graveside services for Mr. Devio will take place Friday, May 5, at 2 p.m. at the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams, Mass., with the Rev. William Furey officiating.
Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St., North Adams, are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested in his memory through the funeral home.
