Michael J. Mach Jr., 22

ADAMS, Mass. - Michael Joseph Mach Jr., 22, of 12 Manners Ave. died Saturday, July 8, 2006, at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Pittsfield on July 14, 1983, son of Michael J. Mach Sr. and Elizabeth Marby Mach, he attended schools in Adams, including St. Stanislaus' and Adams Memorial Middle. He was a 2002 graduate of Hoosac Valley High School and received a bachelor's degree in engineering, with a concentration in civil engineering, from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell on June 4. Mr. Mach was employed by Crawford & Associates Engineering Consultants, Planners and Geologists in New York as a staff engineer. He was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church, a member of the UMass rowing team, and a certified lifeguard for the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Management, the Boston Athletic Club and the YMCA. Besides his parents, of Adams, he leaves a sister, Alicia A. Mach of Adams; his maternal grandmother, Theresa Marby of Adams, and his paternal grandfather, John Mach of Adams, and aunts, uncles and cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mr. Mach will be Thursday, July 13, at 11:15 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:30 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire or to Elder Services, both through the funeral home.
