Doris H. Gaudette, 91

FLORIDA, Mass. — Doris H. Gaudette, 91, of 31 Phelps Road died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006, at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Clarksburg on Aug. 24, 1915, daughter of Danforth V. and Doretta Brown Blanchard, she graduated from Drury High School in 1935. Mrs. Gaudette was a technician for the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for 54 years, retiring in 1979. She was a communicant of St. John's Episcopal Church in North Adams. She was a member of the Florida Senior Citizens and Sprague's Retirees Club, and she enjoyed playing cards, knitting, and was a Red Sox fan. Her husband, Charles W. Gaudette, whom she married on Nov. 21, 1939, died April 21, 1979. She leaves two brothers, Danforth H. "Red" Blanchard and his wife, Mildred, of Clarksburg and Lyle A. Blanchard and his wife, Marlene, of North Adams; and a sister, Muriel Goodrich and her husband, Allan, of Clarksburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Blanchard; and by a sister, Charlotte A. Goodrich. FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Mrs. Gaudette will be held on Monday, Sept. 25, at 9 a.m. from AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Requiem Eucharist at 10 a.m. in St. John's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Edward King, rector, officiating. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours are from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Williamstown Commons Patient Activities Fund through the funeral home, 46 North Church St., North Adams, MA 01247.
