Mildred Blanchard, 88
CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Mildred Blanchard, 88, of 434 Houghton St., died Sunday, April 29, 2007, at home.
Born in Adams on July 17, 1918, daughter of James and Ola Clark, she attended schools in North Adams.
Mrs. Blanchard worked for many years for the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of North Adams.
She and her husband, Danforth H. "Red" Blanchard, were married July 20, 1940.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Connie M. Lincoln and her husband, Robert, of Clarksburg; two granddaughters, Robbin Simonetti and her husband, Mark, and Tammy Meranti and her husband, Steve, all of Clarksburg; and three great-grandchildren, Sara, Matthew and Mitchell, all of Clarksburg.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Blanchard will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, North Adams, conducted by the Rev. David Anderson, pastor.
Burial will follow in Clarksburg Cemetery. Calling hours are tomorrow from 4 to 7 p.m. at the AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS Funeral Home, 46 North Church St., North Adams, which is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church through the funeral home.
