Anna Mae Jammallo, 81
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Anna Mae Mary Jammallo, 81, of 81 Veazie St., died Friday, May 9, 2008, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on May 20, 1926, a daughter of Earl and Amelia Staniski Walker, she attended local schools and graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School in 1944.
Mrs. Jammallo was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for 42 years, retiring as the Filters Department clerk. She had first worked at the former Lloyd's Bakery.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church and was a member of the Sprague Retirees and Quarter Century clubs. She was a past president and secretary of the Jollee Circle Club. She also was a member of the North Adams Senior Citizens and Berkshire Retirees clubs.
Her husband, Augustino A. Jammallo, whom she married June 21, 1947, died Dec. 3, 2002.
She leaves a daughter, Katherine Ann Michalenko and her companion, Michael LeClair, of North Adams; a son, Joseph Jammallo and his wife, Sheri, of Swampscott, and three grandchildren, Lauren and Jason Jammallo and Philip Michalenko.
She was predeceased by twin brothers John and Adam Walker.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Mrs. Jammallo will take place Wednesday, May 14, at 10:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian at St. Anthony's Church at 11. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday from 4 to 7. Memorial donations are suggested to the VNA and Hospice of Northern Berkshire.
