Dorothy M. Mazza, 66
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Dorothy Mary Mazza, 66, of 25 Fiege Ave. died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on March 12, 1942, daughter of Walter A. and Anna R. Duverney Braman, she attended schools in North Adams.
Mrs. Mazza was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. Primarily a homemaker, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, and cockatoos.
Her husband, Anthony F. Mazza, whom she married June 20, 1959, died on May 24, 1999.
She leaves five daughters, Anna Maynard and Mary Torra, both of Pittsfield, Kathleen Hescock of Wilmington, Vt., and Brenda Crow and Deborah Sprowson, both of North Adams; four sons, Anthony F. Mazza Jr. of Shaftsbury, Vt., Walter R. Mazza of North Adams and Steven E. Mazza and Robert A. Mazza, both of Bennington, Vt.; her companion, William Farnham; three sisters, Joan Morris of Vernon, Vt., and Anna Spagnolo and Deborah Braman, both of North Adams; two brothers, Leo L. Braman of Stamford, Vt., and Mitchell Braman of North Adams; 32 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Two other brothers, Walter Braman and William Braman, are deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Dorothy Mazza will be Monday, Dec. 1, at 8:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday from 4 to 7. Memorial contributions may be made to North Adams Ambulance Service or the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
