Leo L. Braman, 77

STAMFORD, Vt. - Leo Lewis Braman, 77, of 954 Jepson Road, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at North Adams (Mass.) Regional Hospital. Born in North Adams on April 11, 1935, son of Walter and Anna Duverney Braman, he attended local schools. A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the Army. Mr. Braman was last employed by Unistress Corp in Pittsfield, Mass., for 13 years until his retirement in 1997. Before that, he worked at the former Arnold Print Works in Adams, Mass. He was a member of the Walter Case Post 29 American Legion in Readsboro and the Dr. George L. Curran Post 996 VFW in North Adams, where he served as vice commander and quartermaster. He was a member of the Greylock Community Club in North Adams and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and stock-car racing. Mr. Braman was proud of his '56 Chevy, which he brought to many car shows. In his younger years, he attended horse-draws. He and his wife, the former Lucille Lefaver, were married on July 26, 1959. Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Brent "Mike" Braman of North Adams, Kent Braman of Clarksburg and Mark Braman of Readsboro; a sisters, Joan Morse of Vernon; four grandchildren, Brent Richard Braman, Bonnie Kaye Comer, Nathan William Braman and Dane Mitchell Braman; three great-grandchildren, Aiden, Lucas and Lilly, and nieces and nephews. His siblings Anna Spagnolo, Dorothy Mazza and Walter and William Braman predeceased him. FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mr. Braman will be Thursday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery in North Adams. Calling hours will be Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Turner House for Veterans in care of the funeral home.
