Anna R. Spagnolo, 83

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Anna Rose Spagnolo, 83, of 32 Millard Ave. died Saturday, July 16, 2011, at North Adams Commons. Born in North Adams on Dec. 31, 1927, daughter of Walter and Anna Rose Duverney Braman, she attended schools in North Adams and Clarksburg. Mrs. Spagnolo worked at Sprague Electric Co. for 46 years until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. She enjoyed bingo and bowling and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox. Her husband, Joseph M. Spagnolo, whom she married June 7, 1947, died Aug. 14, 1994. She leaves her brother, Leo L. Braman of Stamford, Vt.; her sister, Joan Morris of Vernon, Vt., nieces and nephews. Two of her children died in infancy; she also was predeceased by her brothers William and Walter Braman and her sister Dorothy Mazza. FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mrs. Spagnolo will be Wednesday, July 20, at 8:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will Tuesday, July 19, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital in care of the funeral home.
