Dorothy A. DiLorenzo, 82

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Dorothy Ann DiLorenzo, 82, of 23 Barth St. died Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at home, surrounded by her family. Born in North Adams on May 17, 1928, daughter of Francis and Anna Ciempa Alderman, she attended Freeman School and graduated from Drury High School in the class of 1946. Mrs. DiLorenzo worked at the former Sprague Electric and Roberts companies, at the Department of Employment Security and the North Adams Transcript. She was last employed by Excelsior Process & Engraving for 10 years until her retirement. She was a communicant of the former St. Anthony of Padua Church and a member of its Rosary Society and bowling league. She worked actively at the annual church bazaar. She was a Girl Scout Leader; a member and officer of the Freeman Junior High School PTA; and board member of the Clarksburg Senior Center. Mrs. DiLorenzo sang in the Berkshire Chorale. She enjoyed bingo, shopping, singing and swimming at the YMCA. Her husband, Pasquale "Pat" DiLorenzo, whom she married June 12, 1948, died on June 12, 1998. She leaves a daughter, Pat LeClair and her husband, Robert, of North Adams; a son, Michael DiLorenzo and his wife, Cathy, of Phoenix, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Christina Nunziato and her husband, Matthew, of Rensselaer, N.Y., and Michael DiLorenzo of Phoenix, and nieces and nephews. A granddaughter, Jocelyn E. LeClair died on August 18, 2001. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Mrs. DiLorenzo will be Saturday, March 19, at 8:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, March 18, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Jocelyn LeClair Memorial Scholarship or the Clarksburg Seniors in care of the funeral home.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family. You are a wonderful supportive family and I'm sure, though missing your mom amd grandmother, so many wonderful memories will make you smile through the tears. Mrs.D will be very missed but always remembered as a wonderful lady.
