Louis P. Gaspardi, 70

CHESHIRE, Mass. - Louis Peter Gaspardi, 70, of 34 Fisk St. died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in North Adams on Aug. 17, 1940, son of John Battista and Josephine Segala Gaspardi, he attended Drury High School. He served in the Massachusetts National Guard for nine years. Mr. Gaspardi was employed at the former Crown Vantage paper mill and its predecessor, James River Paper Co., for 44 years, until his retirement. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams. He enjoyed playing softball and bowling. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He leaves a daughter, Gina Gaspardi of Cheshire; a son, Christopher Gaspardi of North Adams; two brothers, Enrico F. Gaspardi and John Gaspardi, both of North Adams; two grandchildren, Austin Felter and Marissa Felter, and nieces and nephews. His siblings Mary Barbeau, infant Catherine Gaspardi and Francis Gaspardi are deceased. FUNERAL NOTICE - Calling hours for Mr. Gaspardi will be Sunday, April 3, from 2 to 5 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 5, at 11 in Southview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home.
