Elizabeth A. Neville Grande, 84
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Elizabeth A. Neville Grande, 84, of 710 East Main St., died Thursday, June 16, 2011, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on Nov. 13, 1926, a daughter of Charles and Ellen O'Brien Rowley, she graduated from the former St. Joseph High School.
Mrs. Grande was employed as a senior teller in the Registry of Motor Vehicles for 31 years.
She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams. She enjoyed traveling.
Her first husband, James Thompson Neville, died in 1956.
She leaves her husband, Salvatore "Sam" Grande, whom she married in 1985; a daughter, Marjorie Farquharson and her husband, Andrew, of Needham; a son, James Matthew Neville and his wife, Donna, of North Adams; two brothers, Leonard Rowley of Springfield and Charles Rowley of Old Saybrook, Conn; two sisters, Mary Welch of Adams and Patricia Tomaselli of Burnet, Texas; four grandchildren, Chase Randall and James, Scott and John Farquharson; a sister-in-law, Nancy Clark of Williamstown, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters Ellen and Alice Rowley.
FUNERAL NOTICE - A Liturgy of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday, June 21, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will take place at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:00. Memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association through the funeral home.
