Weston G. Primmer, 60
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Weston Glenn Primmer, 60, of 114 Gallup St. died Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center.
Born in North Adams on Aug. 24, 1950, son of I. Weston and Gwendolyn May Sutton Primmer, he attended North Adams public schools and graduated from Drury High School in 1970.
Mr. Primmer worked in the construction industry as a mason for 37 years. He was last employed by Petricca Construction until his retirement on Jan. 1, 2010. He was a member and past president of Union Local 473.
He was a member of the former St. John's Episcopal Church. He grew up on East Main Street, played sports and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He also was a member of the Elks Club and enjoyed gardening and helping his friends.
He and his wife, the former Linda Altiere, were married on Sept. 1, 1973, in St. John's Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sisters, Shirley Norman of North Adams and Sandra Cozzaglio of Lee; a brother, Fred D. Primmer of North Adams; and his numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and godchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mr. Primmer, who is now at peace, will be Friday, July 22, at 7 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will be private.
Calling hours will be Friday from 4 until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
