James M. Porio, 52
ADAMS, Mass. — James Michael "Poncho" Porio, 52, of 27 Spring St., died Monday, July 2, 2012, at his home.
Born in Adams on Aug. 26, 1959, a son of Jeremiah Porio and Dorothy Wnuk Porio, he attended St. Stanislaus Kostka Elementary School and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School.
Mr. Porio worked in the maintenance department for the Marian Fathers in Stockbridge. Earlier, he had worked at several machine shops in the area, including Deerfield Machine Works and Butkin Machine Co. in North Adams.
He had been a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. He enjoyed fishing, biking and the outdoors.
He leaves a son, Zachary Porio and his wife, Samantha, of Adams; a daughter, Elizabeth Reinke and her husband, Robert, of Easthampton; a brother, Thomas Porio of Springfield; two sisters, Barbara Porio and Teresa Gamache and her husband, Timothy, all of Adams; two grandchildren, Jacob Reinke and Cheyenne Ritcher, and aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, David Porio.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mr. Porio will be held Thursday, July 12, at 11 a.m. at Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 11, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home.
