Doree Marceau, 91
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Doree Marceau, 91, of North Adams died on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in Adams on March 8, 1921, a daughter of Justyn J. and Anelia Kosieroski Wilk, she attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School. She also attended beauty school.
Mrs. Marceau was the owner and operator of the former Doree's Beauty Shop in North Adams.
She loved to read, knit and watch the Boston Red Sox. She also loved to spend time with family and friends.
Her husband, George Joseph Marceau, whom she married on Oct. 9, 1944, died Jan. 26, 1988.
She leaves a brother, Arthur E. Wilk and his wife, Angie, of Williamstown; caregivers and nieces, Ginny Kussman and her husband, Michael, and Paula Cote and her husband, Dennis, and many other nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and two great-great-nephews.
She was predeceased by six brothers and two sisters, John Wilk, Stanley Wilk, Sophie Wilk George, Theodore Wilk, Frank Wilk, Henry Wilk, Mildred Wilk Dean and Justyn Wilk.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Graveside services for Mrs. Marceau will take place Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 9 a.m. at the family plot in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown.
