Mary P. Angeli, 82
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Mary Patricia Angeli, 82, of 40 Frederick St. died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in Adams on Jan. 11, 1930, daughter of Michael and Mary Haggerty Connally, she graduated from the former Adams High School with the class of 1948. She attended Bliss Business School and completed several courses in banking.
Mrs. Angeli became employed by Adams Co-Operative Bank in 1950 and worked there until her retirement in 1992 as manager and assistant vice president.
She was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church, where she was an active volunteer and one of the original members of the Adoration program. She also volunteered with the Northern Berkshire United Way; was a Girl Scout leader for many years, and was a member of the former St. Joseph's High School PTA. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, shopping, and travel, especially to New York City.
Her husband, Mario "Mac" Angeli, whom she married Oct. 13, 1951, died on Jan. 26, 2008.
She leaves two daughters, Kathleen Stewart of Charlotte, N.C., and Jean Noel and her husband, Keith, of Pownal, Vt.; two sisters, Sheila Ferryall of Dalton and Kathleen Jerome and her husband, William, of Pittsfield; three sisters-in-law, Norma Davis and her husband, Edward, of Pittsfield, Angelina Giusti of of North Adams and Iris Angeli of Williamstown, and nieces and nephews.
Her brothers Edward Connally and John Connally predeceased her.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Angeli will be Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 10:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Monday, Sept. 3, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
