Vidal, Hornets Run Past Lee with Big Fifth Inning

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Keeghan Vidal hit a two-run double in a six-run fifth inning that lifted the McCann Tech baseball team to an 8-4, come-from-behind win over Lee on Monday.
 
The Hornets trailed, 3-1, after four innings but took a 7-3 lead in the fifth.
 
Jeremy Blondin closed the door from there, holding the Wildcats to one more run en route to a complete-game win.
 
Blondin struck out nine and scattered seven hits to get the “W” on the mound.
 
Vidal went 2-for-3, and Jeremy Beany drove in a pair of runs. Vidal also had three steals as McCann Tech swiped 11 bases to make the most of their five-hit attack.
 
Garrett Hopkins went 2-for-3 for the Wildcats (1-3), who host Commerce on Wednesday.
 
McCann Tech (4-2) hosts Putnam on Tuesday.
