GRANBY, Mass. – Neal Brierley scored two goals and set up two more, and Max Griffin made six saves Tuesday to backstop the Hoosac Valley boys lacrosse team to an 8-3 win over Granby for the Hurricanes’ third straight win.

“The Hurricanes overcame a phenomenal performance in net by Nate Loughman [seven saves] in the second half, fueled by gritty performances from Neal Brierley and Owen Taylor,” Hoosac Valley coach Jacob Anderson-Hall said.

“Max Griffin stepped up late in the game with great saves and Jo Campbell did it all to keep his young defense locked into the game. Pat McConnell and Dave Decker played key roles on defense as well.”

Taylor scored a pair of goals, as did Brady Auger. Kamarion Kastner and Kaden Tatro each found the back of the net.

Hoosac Valley (3-2) is off until Monday when it visits Lenox.
