WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Christy Rech and Teigan Brady combined to make three saves Thursday as the Mount Greylock girls lacrosse team posted a rare shutout in an 18-0 win over Chicopee Comp.

Sarah Polumbo scored seven goals, and Ainsley Abel, Phoebe Hughes and Gianna Pesce each had a hat trick in the win.

“Today was a great effort by our defense (Abaigeal Fuls, Adele Low, Madison Drake, Nina Wied,
Sophia Asch), letting up zero goals in the game, preventing shots and dominating on the ground
balls - which was one of our areas of emphasis today,” Mount Greylock coach Jeff Stripp said.

Mount Greylock (4-0) goes to Minnechaug on Saturday.
