Abel Leads Mount Greylock Girls Lacrosse Past Comp

CHICOPEE, Mass. – Ainsley Abel scored five goals, and the Mount Greylock girls lacrosse team outscored Chicopee Comp by 10 goals in the second half to earn a 16-2 win on Thursday.
 
The Colts held the Mounties to just five goals in the first half, but Mount Greylock took over after half-time, outsourcing the hosts, 11-1.
 
Sarah Polumbo scored four goals. Gianna Pesce had a hat trick, and Lexi Politis scored a pair in the win.
 
Mount Greylock goalie Christy Rech stopped eight shots while allowing just one goal in the first half. Teigan Brady held down the fort in the back in the second half, making one save.
 
Mount Greylock (10-2) goes to Westfield on Monday.
