Politis, Mount Greylock Down Northampton

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Lexi Politis had a hat trick and set up three more goals Wednesday to lead the Mount Greylock girls lacrosse team to a 14-3 win over Northampton.
 
“Lexi proved to be a force to be reckoned with, netting three goals and dishing out three crucial assists, contributing to a total of six points,” Mount Greylock coach Jeff Stripp said. “Her performance not only highlighted her scoring prowess but also underscored her ability to create opportunities for her teammates.”
 
Ainsley Abel and Sarah Polumbo each scored four times. Molly Cangelosi, Phoebe Hughes and Tanley Drake each had a goal for the Mounties, who led, 11-0, at half-time.
 
Christy Rech stopped two shots to earn the win in goal for Mount Greylock (12-2), which hosts Wahconah on Friday.
