Coakley's 18 Lead Lenox Boys to Win

LENOX, Mass. — The Lenox boys basketball team on Wednesday held off a Mount Everett fourth-quarter comeback bid to ground the Eagles, 52-43, in the consolation game of the South County Tournament.
 
Kevin Coakley scored 18 points, and Michael Downer added 11 for Lenox.
 
The Millionaires (2-3) took a 41-26 lead into the fourth quarter, but Mount Everett quickly closed to within nine with a 7-0 run. But Lenox pulled back ahead by 15 before settling for the nine-point win.
 
Kenneth Crom led all scorers with 21 points, and Cassius Conaway and Bernard Litchfield each scored nine for Mount Everett (0-6).
 
Lenox hosts Taconic on Thursday. Mount Everett hosts Monument Mountain on Monday.
