Occasionally, those of us lucky enough to reside in Berkshire County take for granted the beauty of Autumn and unique fall-time events our area has to offer. We’ve put together a list of October Berkshire musts, whether it be businesses that help you prepare for the season, ridiculously fun events, or destinations that thrive in fall. Let’s shine a spotlight on October in the Berks!

Norman Rockwell Museum

“A must-see in the Berkshires!”

View the world’s largest collection of original Rockwell art, set on 36 scenic acres in the artist’s picturesque hometown of Stockbridge.  Enjoy many changing exhibitions of Rockwell and American illustration art throughout the year.

Norman Rockwell Museum pays tribute to Roz Chast this fall.  Roz Chast: Cartoon Memoirs, on view through October 26, features the full range of the award-winning artist’s work from her timelessly funny cartoons for The New Yorker and children’s picture books, to her intricately-painted pysanka eggs and hand-made textiles.

Engaging programs, lectures and art classes offer something for everyone. Join us for a free gallery talk. Tour the artist’s studio (open May – October) and dine al fresco at the seasonal Terrace Café.  Read rave reviews on Trip Advisor! Always something new to see.
