The judges have spoken and the Berkshires very own Idol competition has been narrowed to 16 talented contestants! It’s your turn now to cast your vote for the Berkshire Idol 2009 ‘people’s choice award’-visit the website at: www.iberkshires.com/berkshireidol/ Then come see your favorites live for the 4th Annual Berkshire Idol Finale at Drury High School on Saturday March 14th at 6:30. Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased in advance at The Mountain Goat in Williamstown, Moulton’s General Store in North Adams or Tailored Events in Pittsfield - all proceeds will benefit the Windsor School of Music, a non-profit music school in North Adams.
It’s a great cause and a fun night out hosted by Tred Hulse a popular DJ on The Morning Show, aired on 99.5 FM “The River” out of Albany. Celebrity judges, professionals in the music industry, will determine grand prize winners from each age category. The winner in the adult category will receive $1,000, the winner of the youth category will receive a $1000 Savings Bond ($500 cash value), and both winners will receive four hours of studio time at Skyboro Sound.
Last year Berkshire Idol raised over $20,000 for charity, and with the generous support from our sponsors: Berkshire Bank, Hoosac Bank, iBerkshires.com, Skyboro Sound, Vacation Village, and members of the community-we hope to surpass that goal for this year’s charity! |
