Letters: Cops for Kids Spaghetti Dinner Thank You
Dear Editor:
The Cops for Kids with Cancer Spaghetti dinner held at the Bounti-Fare in Adams on Feb. 11, 2013, was a huge success.
It was an incredible show of community spirit to support not only a great cause but Anna Arabia and her family. The money raised put me over my fundraising goal of $4,000. We were also able to use the 50/50 money (won by Ed St. John IV who graciously donated it back) and a portion of the auction money to help Anna's parents continue to provide the best care they can for her.
It was an amazing effort by all volunteers from those who helped serve, clean up, organize, sell tickets, and all the other tasks involved. A big thanks goes out to the Mr. Caproni and the Drury Jazz band, who came out to play.
There is no question that this dinner would not have been such a success if it wasn't for Mary Ann King. She was instrumental in every aspect of this event. I cannot thank her enough for all of her efforts. (All Chinese auction winners will be contacted by Mary Ann as soon as possible).
There are many people and businesses that contributed to the success of this fundraiser and here are just a few:
