Berkshire Force 1-1 on Tuesday at World Series

NEWBERRY, Fla. — The Berkshire Force went 1-1 on Tuesday at the Babe Ruth Softball 14-and-under World Series.
The day began with an 8-7 win over Creeks, Fla., and ended with an 11-1 loss at the hands of Ocala, Fla.
In the win against Creeks, the Force took an 8-5 lead in the bottom of the fourth and held on for the one-run win.
Brooke Cowlin hit a two-run double during the decisive rally for the Force.
In the nightcap, Ocala Marion County scattered nine hits while pounding out 18 of its own for the six-inning win.
Brianna Clary and Anna Lynch each went 2-for-3 for the Force, and Taylar Ostrander drove in the team’s lone run, in the bottom of the sixth.
