Adams Community Bank Promotes Two

ADAMS, Mass. — Adams Community Bank recently announced the promotion of two of its employees: Kristin Bona to business relationship officer and Nancy Hubbard to administration officer.

“I am very proud to announce the promotion of these two individuals who are both strong contributors to the success of our bank,” said Charles P. O’Brien, president and chief executive officer. “I congratulate them for their hard work and dedication to their careers here at Adams Community Bank.”

Bona is responsible for growing new relationships as well as deepening existing relationships.

She joined the bank in 1998 and has worked in various departments over the years. A graduate of Berkshire Community College, she received her AS in business careers. She is a current member of the bank’s committee that raises money each year for PopCares and Moments House.



Bona resides in Clarksburg with her husband.

As administration officer, Hubbard is responsible for supporting the president and CEO and the senior management staff of the bank. She is also responsible to serve as a liaison to the Board of Trustees.

Hubbard joined the bank in April of 1989 in the loan operations department and later moved to the administrative assistant position. She resides in Adams with her husband.

Adams Free Library Pastel Painting Workshops

ADAMS, Mass. — Award-winning pastel artist Gregory Maichack will present three separate pastel painting workshops for adults and teens 16+, to be hosted by the Adams Free Library. 
 
Wednesday, April 24 The Sunflower; Wednesday, May 8 Jimson Weed; and Thursday, May 23 Calla Turned Away from 10:00 a.m. to noon.  
 
Registration is required for each event.  Library events are free and open to the public.
 
These programs are funded by a Festivals and Projects grant of the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
 
This workshop is designed for participants of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Attendees will create a personalized, original pastel painting based on Georgia O’Keefe’s beautiful pastel renditions of The Sunflower, Jimson Weed and Calla Turned Away. All materials will be supplied. Seating may fill quickly, so please call 413-743-8345 to register for these free classes.
 
Maichack is an award-winning portraitist and painter working primarily in pastels living in the Berkshires. He has taught as a member of the faculty of the Museum School in Springfield, as well as at Greenfield and Holyoke Community College, Westfield State, and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
