BArT Announces Second Trimester Honor Roll

ADAMS, Mass. — Berkshire Arts & Technology Charter Public School has announced the students who made honor roll for the second trimester of the 2016-17 school year.

Students who earned 80 percnet or above in all of their classes received the distinction of "Honors."  Students who earned 90 percent or above in all of their classes received the distinction of "High Honors."

Academic courses at BArT are aligned with the Massachusetts State Curriculum Frameworks for the appropriate grade level and include all standards deemed necessary for a complete, college-preparatory, middle and high school education.

Students in Grade 6 who earned High Honors are Dion Bianco, Ivan Chen, Felee Davis, Cameron Durocher, Viviana Lanphear, Julia LaSalle, Matthew Lizzo, Hannah Manzolini, Christopher Sunn, Charlotte Weiskotten, Matthew Weiskotten, and Anna Zheng.  

Students in Grade 6 who earned Honors are Evonne Barnett, Daysha Bell, Jack Cooper, Maia Di Lego, Cassandra Durand, Nakiya Hubbard, Isaac Huberdeau, Bethany Iffetayo, Arthur Knights Jr., Alana Levesque, Ranger McGinnis, Sawyer Moser, Jeremy Patterson, and Liliana Pisano.

Students in Grade 7 who earned High Honors are Ty Aubin, Lauri Carter, Nathaniel Gillman, Wylie Jones, John Kozak, Olivia Leasure, Madison Ostrowski, Abigail Scholl, and Abigail Webster.  

Students in Grade 7 who earned Honors are Kaylana Balardini, Hunter Bishop, Noah Bourassa, Conroy Casey, Atticus Clark, George Crane, Andrew Cunha, Sarah D’Elia, Alyssa Heaton, Cole Hunt, Lexus LaFont, Cecilia Marszalek, Brianna Martinez, Lyndon Morehouse, Cheyenne Newton, Jenna Pizani, Igor Polotai, Amy Racela, Ethan Rudin, Damien Tarjick, Asa Webster, Joshua Weslowski, Lilianne Wright, and Melvin Wright III.

Students in Grade 8 who earned High Honors are Fransisco Alicandri, Aiyanna Bellefeuille, Madison Carter, Emma Danylin, Kyle Gwilt, Lindsey Gwilt, Katherine Kerwood, Cameron Langsdale, Eugene Osei-Kuffour, Kassondra Stockmal, Charles Waltermire, Molly Weeks, and Paige Wright.

Students in Grade 8 who earned Honors are Isaac Bamba, Masekan Bamba-Ornella, Connor Cirullo, Zy’Nasia Cooper, Cameron Fusini, Miranda-Ann Grant, Liliana Hess, Olivia Jayko, Hannah LeVardi-Earle, Darius Longdyke, Jordan McDonald, Diego Mongue, Kayla Saunders, Sawyer Smith, and Nicholas Thayer.



Students in Grade 9 who earned High Honors are Alyssa Anderson, Sarah deBethune, Andrew Gillman, Joy Kalinowsky, Grace Krzanik, Dinari Murdaugh, Ashley Pixley, Finley Root, William Schrade, Gianna Sondrini, Kylie Taylor, and Nicholas Viggiano.

Students in Grade 9 who earned Honors are Rachael Bentz, Driss Bourzgui, Miles Fippinger, Arabelle Knights, William Peets, Luke Salinovici, Alison Sanchez, and LeAnne Stokes.

Students in Grade 10 who earned High Honors are Vincienza Alicandri, Ruth Bristol, Natalie Celebi, Joshua Doubiago, Byonté Jones, Hannah Stringer, and Caitlin Terpak.

Students in Grade 10 who earned Honors are Isaiah Albright, Tyler Bouchard, Mitchell Clayton, Jessica Doubiago, Macie Fitch, Jordan Hamilton, Johnyce Lanphear-Dyer, Anny Lopez, Shelby Patterson, and Ayannah Sheerin.

Students in Grade 11 who earned High Honors are Kyle Brooks, Hayley Caufield, Crystal Harrington, Trinity Peets, Heather Perkins, Kimberly Perkins, Kyle Rolland, Emily Taylor, and Harrison Todd.

Students in Grade 11 who earned Honors are Xaida Brazeau, MaiLee Daignault, Ari Drayman, Caleb Duffy, Timothy Durocher, Andrew Kerwood, Jordan LeSage, Ashlyn Marcil, Pamela Pixley, Amber Pizani, Caelin Rod, and Jamie Vachula.

Students in Grade 12 who earned High Honors are Peter Elliott, Tessa Langsdale, and Alain Morrissette.

Students in Grade 12 who earned Honors are Jonah Alemany, Kaeleigh Bell, Emily DePietro, Christopher DiCarlo, Jason Mills, and Kelsey Rod.

Adams Free Library Pastel Painting Workshops

ADAMS, Mass. — Award-winning pastel artist Gregory Maichack will present three separate pastel painting workshops for adults and teens 16+, to be hosted by the Adams Free Library. 
 
Wednesday, April 24 The Sunflower; Wednesday, May 8 Jimson Weed; and Thursday, May 23 Calla Turned Away from 10:00 a.m. to noon.  
 
Registration is required for each event.  Library events are free and open to the public.
 
These programs are funded by a Festivals and Projects grant of the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
 
This workshop is designed for participants of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Attendees will create a personalized, original pastel painting based on Georgia O’Keefe’s beautiful pastel renditions of The Sunflower, Jimson Weed and Calla Turned Away. All materials will be supplied. Seating may fill quickly, so please call 413-743-8345 to register for these free classes.
 
Maichack is an award-winning portraitist and painter working primarily in pastels living in the Berkshires. He has taught as a member of the faculty of the Museum School in Springfield, as well as at Greenfield and Holyoke Community College, Westfield State, and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
