Hinds Sets Community Outreach Events for July
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — State Senator Adam G. Hinds, D-Pittsfield, and his district staff will host three community outreach events during the month of July.
Hinds will convene his next Speak Up Western Mass public forum/community office hours event in Shelburne on Monday, July 17, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's Meeting Room of Shelburne Town Hall, located at 51 Bridge St.
The senator's staff will be available to meet with constituents from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, in the communities of Williamstown and Middlefield at the following locations:
Williamstown Town Hall, 31 North St.
Middlefield Town Hall, 188 Skyline Trail
All residents of the Berkshire, Hampshire, Franklin & Hampden Senate District are invited to participate in these sessions if they have an idea, question or comment about state government they wish to share, or if they require assistance from the senator's constituent services team.
Appointments are not necessary but can be booked in advance by calling the Pittsfield office at 413-344-4561 or the Williamsburg office at 413-768-2373. These office hours provide an opportunity for those seeking assistance with state agencies or programs to speak with Hinds’ constituency services staff in person.
Hinds' district staff, A.J. Enchill and Jon Gould, hold roving office hours outside of their primary work locations once a month. Enchill is based in the senator's Pittsfield office, Gould splits his time in Pittsfield and Williamsburg.
The senator expects to host at least 10 open conversation/community office hours events in rotating locations across his district each year. The meetings are agenda-free, unscripted, and designed for residents and local officials to ask questions, share concerns, and make recommendations on state issues to the state Senator and his district staff.
So far in 2017, residents and community officials have joined Hinds and his staff in Williamsburg, Lanesborough, Huntington, Cheshire, Goshen and Pittsfield to discuss their priorities during his Speak Up Western Mass events.
Those who are unable to attend these events who are seeking to interact with the senator and his staff may email him at Adam.Hinds@masenate.gov
or call the offices during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. The State House office, where the budget and policy, media relations, and scheduling functions are handled, can be reached at 617-722-1625.
