MountainOne Insurance Announces Addition to Group Benefits Team

PITTSFIELD, Mass — John Quinto has been appointed benefits consultant for employee group benefits clients at MountainOne Insurance.
 
"Our strategic partnership with OneDigital Health & Benefits allows us to provide a comprehensive array of services to our business clients. John is an important addition to our team, and will serve on the OneDigital side, assisting MountainOne clients with their group benefits program administration. His experience with both insurance and human resources management will serve our clients extremely well," said Jonathan Denmark, MountainOne Insurance president and chief operating officer.

As benefits consultant, Quinto works closely with MountainOne business clients in accessing the services provided by OneDigital, including a sophisticated combination of strategic advisory services, analytics, compliance support, human resources capital management tools, and comprehensive insurance offerings.

Prior to joining MountainOne's OneDigital team, Quinto served in human resources management, and also provided insurance services to clients in Berkshire County for over 15 years. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Quinto holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Elon University, where he played on the golf team, and is working toward a Master's degree in business administration from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. He is also a graduate of the 1Berkshire Berkshire Leadership Program.

Quinto lives in Pittsfield with his wife, Terry, and their three children.

Dalton Town Hall Lift Solutions in Development

DALTON, Mass. — Solutions are being sought for the lift in Town Hall that has been out of service since December because of safety concerns. 
 
Building Grounds Superintendent Jeff Burch told the Americans with Disabilities Act Committee meeting on Tuesday night that Hill Engineering has been contracted to come up with a potential option.
 
The lift is in the police station and the only other lift for the town hall is in the library, which is not accessible after library hours. 
 
Previous attempts by Garaventa Lift to repair it have been unsuccessful. 
 
Replacing it in the same location is not an option because the new weight limit requirement went from 400 pounds to 650 pounds. Determining whether the current railings can hold 650 pounds is outside the scope of Garaventa's services to the town. 
 
The first option Hill has proposed is to install a vertical lift in a storage closet to the left of the police entrance, which would go up into the town account's office. 
 
A member of the committee expressed concern that the current office location may not be suitable as it could hinder access to the police station during construction.
