The First Fridays Artswalk in downtown Pittsfield continues its 5-month season (May through September) at a special date and time: SATURDAY, July 11 from 1 to 4 pm.
Participating venues on SATURDAY, July 11 include Hotel on North, Indie Readery and Records, O.U.R Resurge, Sanctum Gallery, Solarium Plant Shop, and the Soda Chef.

NORMAN ROCKWELL’S STOCKBRIDGE WALKING TOUR

Stockbridge, 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
$20; separate from Museum Admission
These tours do not take place at the Museum. Tour groups will meet on Main Street. Transportation to Main Street from the Museum is not provided.
Take a guided walking tour of downtown Stockbridge and discover how the town and its inhabitants both inspired Norman Rockwell and appeared in some of his most iconic works of art. Explore the history of this 1734 village–including its Mohican origins.
Stops will include Norman Rockwell’s home on South Street, his first studio on Main Street, the Old Corner House (site of the original Norman Rockwell Museum), Chief John Konkapot’s property, the Red Lion Inn, the former site of Alice’s Restaurant, and more!
Limited capacity- advance reservations required. Event is rain or shine.
Meet in front of The Old Corner House, 48 Main Street; public on street parking, or designated spaces at Town Hall. Tour route is mostly flat, and on sidewalks.

STORYTIME WITH STAY & PLAY

Becket Athenaeum hosts a storytime from 10:30 to 11 followed by an hour of stay and play with toys, games, puzzles, and snacks for the kids, along with coffee, tea, snacks, and time for connection for the caregivers. Stop by for either or both.

UCS invites the community to a Community Field Day fundraiser hosted by and in support of Teens4Change (T4C), a peer-led program that empowers young people in Bennington County to make friends, build community connections, learn life skills, and participate in community service opportunities.
The Community Field Day will include:

She’s been on “The Late Late Show” five times, has had her own HBO “One Night Stand” comedy special, and was awarded the American Comedy Award for Best Female Stand Up Comic. Her TV and film credits include: recurring roles on, “I’m Dying Up Here” and “Pretty Little Liars,” “Modern Family,” “Scandal,” “How to Get Away With Murder,” “NCIS: LA, Mad Men,” “Brothers and Sisters,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Caroline in the City”(recurring), “Everybody Loves Raymond,” “Politically Incorrect,” “Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist,” “Charlie Wilson’s War,” “The Aristocrats,” “White Oleander,” “What Planet Are You From?,” “My Fellow Americans,” and “Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead.” Her solo show, “Does This Show Make Me Look Fat?” opened this past year.

STRANGE FANCIES - STORIES OF HAUNTING AND GHOSTLY INSPIRATION AT ARROWHEAD
Pittsfield, 6 pm or 8 pm
The Berkshire County Historical Society welcomes back to Arrowhead ghost tour guide Robert Oakes will offer a series of Strange Fancies presentations in which he will discuss the supernatural influences on the imagination of author Herman Melville, as well as the ghostly writings of Melville’s friend and frequent Arrowhead visitor Nathaniel Hawthorne. The talk will be followed by a lantern-lit tour of Melville’s historic home. Tickets are $20 for BCHS members, $25 for non-members, and can be purchased by using the BOOK NOW button at berkshirehistory.org.
