LANESBOROUGH HISTORY WITH JOE DURWIN
Lanesborough, 6 p.m.
Lanesborough Public Library presents a presentation by local historian, Joe Durwin.
Land cleared by some of Lanesborough's first colonists. A family holding onto a farm as the world changes around it over 2 centuries. A shocking Christmas Eve tragedy.... For the first time ever, hear the history of Lanesborough's newest Berkshire Natural Resources Council public trail on the former Farnum/Kurlan Parcel at 310 N. Main St in Lanesborough.
Based on research conducted for Berkshire Natural Resources Council, this presentation by Joe Durwin explores the fascinating story of the land, its owners, and their impact on the larger story of the town. Joe Durwin is a local historian specializing in research on residential and commercial properties for owners in Berkshire County. His column, Lost Tales of the Shire, runs twice monthly in the Berkshire Eagle.
Lanesborough Public Library, 83 North Main St Lanesborough, MA
