Kathleen A. Amuso *
Candidate For School Committee - Pittsfield

A lifelong resident of Pittsfield and a two-term member of the School Committee, Kathleen Amuso said she's "working to move the school system forward." Amuso, who has a fulltime job at Berkshire Medical Center, sits on the boards of several community organizations, including the Berkshire Athenaeum and the School Building Needs Committee. Amuso, 50, is a product of the Pittsfield school system, graduating from St. Joseph Central High School before going on to pursue a bachelor's degree in education from Salem State College and a master's degree in instruction and curriculum from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. With one son at Herberg Middle School and one son at Pittsfield High School, Amuso said she is seeking another term on the School Committee to ensure that city children "have the best education the can have."
