Peter White
Candidate For School Committee - Pittsfield

The youngest candidate (at age 29), Peter White said he's running for School Committee because he cares about the future of Pittsfield. Viewing education as the "foundation for future economic development and growth," White wants to ensure success for the city for future generations.

A 1996 Taconic High School graduate, White has remained in the Berkshires, earning an associate's degree in early childhood education from Berkshire Community College in 2001 and a bachelor's degree in history from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in 2005.

White works fulltime at a local human services agency and is a member of the Morningside Neighborhood Advisory Council, the Fourth of July Parade Committee and the Traffic Commission.

"I'd like to be able to raise a family in Pittsfield and stay in Pittsfield. I'm choosing to stay here and do something to try and improve it," White said.
