Stephen A. Rougeau, 59
BECKET, Mass. — Stephen A. Rougeau, 59, of 64 Carter Road died suddenly on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in North Adams on June 30, 1954, a son of William and Viola St. Pierre Rougeau, he graduated from Mount Greylock Regional School with the class of 1972.
Mr. Rougeau was employed as a licensed plumber in the engineering department at Berkshire Medical Center.
He was a devoted and dedicated father. He had been a communicant of the former St. Raphael's Church in Williamstown. An avid golfer, he also enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. He was a fan of the Boston Red Sox, Celtics and the Dallas Cowboys, and loved to travel, especially to Jamaica.
He leaves his fiancée, Mary Ann Harding, with whom he made his home; a daughter, Brittany Rougeau and her partner, Marc Surowice, of Rhode Island; a son, Ethan Rougeau and his partner, Kim Lavigne, of Pittsfield; three sisters, Linda Grove and her husband, William, of New Jersey, Jean Ziter and her husband, Bruce, of North Adams and Jennifer Roberts of Cheshire; two brothers, Gary Rougeau and his wife, Ellen, of Williamstown and Glenn Rougeau of North Adams; his fiancée's family, Timothy Harding of Becket, Drew Harding of Dalton, Daniel Harding of Pittsfield and Gerry Harding and his wife, Alison, of Pittsfield; his godmother and aunt, Helen Bourdon of North Adams; dear friends Huey and Georgia Rand of North Adams, and his godchild, Gabriella, in Jamaica.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mr. Rougeau will be celebrated Thursday, March 6, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 5, from 4 to 7 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Memorial donations are suggested for The Jimmy Fund through the funeral home.
