Joan Vincent, Sister Roberta Anne, was my teacher in 6th grade at St. Joseph’s School. She was so bright, interesting and educated and fun. I’ve gone to many great colleges but sometimes but as you reflect back on things you think of who made the most significant impression on your life. Sister Roberta Anne was that teacher for me.

Joan taught one of the courses I took at MCLA.....she would schedule a break in the class when she knew I had to leave to play the organ at St. Anthony's for the 5:15 novena. So understanding....a lover of God and all mankind. RIP, Sister Joan..

I remember and got close to Joan when we worked together at Plunkett School. I left my job in Title and I took her place as a 5th grade teacher when she retired. She always told me she was going to donate her body to science. I’m sorry that we didn’t keep in touch after she left teaching. She was a hoot. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dearest Nancy and Family, I am truly saddened to read of the loss of our mutual friend, Joan. My relationship with her goes way back to being a student of hers at St. Joseph's School many years ago to becoming a true friend afterwards. Her sense of humor could light up a room. She will be missed. May she rest in peace.
Most sincerely,
Karen
