Roland was a friend to me since we were in grammar school. He was always friendly and open and glad to see me whenever we happen to run into each other. May you rest in peace.

Rollie was a consistent fixture at the North Adams Women's Softball League games. Be it a spectator or umpire, he was always smiling and happy to be with us. Many of us had the pleasure of being on the opposite end of one of his loud "strike" calls, with the right hand going out to his side. I was blessed to be umpiring along side of him last summer. Thank you for all your years of service with our league and our country! God bless and our thoughts and prayers to Rollie's family.

Oh we've lost a good soul. His family lost a kind kind man. I know that he will be accepted by the Lord and will be con welcomed by Father Dan, George Coop, Deacon Bob. How lucky is heaven. Thanks for the smiles and hellos, and truly giving of yourself, time, treasure and talents. You were a good shepherd.

RIP Rollie (aka: Santa) He was a kind, gentle sole who would sacrifice time away from family on Christmas eve to make my children's Holiday special showing up as Santa. He would have gifts, candy canes, stay for a bit, read a Holiday tradition by the fireplace then head out to the next house. - I will always remember the smiles he brought to their faces.

I have many many fond memories of Rollie. From when I was very little with my parents, to bowling, to the softball league, to him coming to my house on Christmas Eve for my son. He truly was one amazing man that just wanted to make everybody he could happy. He will always hold a special place in my heart. He was a true angel on this earth. Rest In Paradise Rollie.

I have many good memories of Rollie from the bowling league and even before that when we all used to hang around at Skippy Griswold's. He was a truly nice guy.
