Eric Patrick McKinney, 72

CLARKSBURG, Mass. —  Eric P. McKinney, 72 of Clarksburg passed peacefully on October 8th at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 14, 1954, in North Adams Eric was the son of Allen G. McKinney and Jeannine F. McKinney (Delisle). He attended St. Joseph’s School in North Adams before moving to Northborough in 1966. He went on to graduate from Algonquin Regional High School in 1972.

Throughout his life, Eric held several jobs, but he was most proud of his time as General Manager of White Star Machine Company, where he worked alongside his father, Allen. Together, they serviced the entire East Coast, specializing in Puritan Industrial stitching machines. Following his father’s passing, Eric continued to run the business successfully for many years, carrying on the work they had built together. His dedication, hard work, and pride in the family business were a testament to his strong work ethic.

Outside of work, Eric found his greatest joy in spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed playing cards, especially his favorite game, “Ace is My Partner”, and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was also a devoted fan of Boston sports teams, but none more passionately than the New England Patriots.

Those who knew Eric will remember him for being a good friend and someone you could always count on.

Eric is survived by his children, Amy Bonneville (Trevor) of Adams, Eric A. McKinney (Angela) of North Adams, stepdaughter Jennifer Casey (Aidan) of Maidstone, England, and two granddaughters Abigail and Eleanor Bonneville. His siblings, Karen Moran (Michael) of Stamford, VT, Nancy Torres (Samuel) of Stamford, VT, Carl McKinney of Clarksburg and Phyllis Desautels (Michael) of Stamford, VT and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Allen and Jeannine McKinney.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice Care of the Berkshires, especially his two favorites, Laurie and Debbie, for the exceptional care and kindness they showed Eric and his family during his final days.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 3:00 pm at Forest Park Country Club. The burial at Southview Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care of the Berkshires if desired through the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes – CENTRAL CHAPEL 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247. Eric will forever be deeply missed and loved by his family.
