Everett F. Drumm

Everett F. Drumm, 75, of Crossroad died yesterday at home. He had served as constable and cemetery commissioner for many years. Born in Great Barrington on Dec. 17, 1927, son of Floyd and Bertha Wilcox Drumm, he was a graduate of the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He was employed by Fox River Paper Co., formerly Rising Paper, in the cost accounting department, retiring in 1989 after 34 years. Following his retirement, he catered many local affairs. Mr. Drumm was a member and trustee of United Methodist Church. He also was a member of the Cincinnatus Lodge AF & AM in Great Barrington, the West Stockbridge Sportsmen’s Club, the Forest Wardens Association and the Alford Card Club. He leaves his wife, the former Marjory Scholz, whom he married Oct. 29, 1949, at West Stockbridge Congregational Church. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Timothy Drumm of Great Barrington and Christopher Drumm of Brooklyn, Minn., and four grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Everett F. Drumm of Alford died Wednesday, April 30, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Marjory Scholz Drumm, at home, whom he married Oct. 29, 1949, at West Stockbridge Congregational Church; two sons, Timothy Drumm of Great Barrington and Christopher Drumm and his wife, Norma Jean, of Brooklyn, Minn., and four grandchildren, Cara, Graeme, Georgia and Ian. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 at United Methodist Church in Alford, with the Rev. David Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Osborne Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 7 at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME. Those who desire may make memorial contributions to the church through the funeral home.
