Arthur Alfred Boulerice

Arthur Alfred Boulerice, 84, of 144 Windsor Road, died Wednesday at Williamstown Commons, where he had resided since May 30. Born in North Adams on Sept. 23, 1922, son of Arthur O. and Ethel Nimmons Boulerice, he was educated in North Adams schools. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving from June 16, 1942, to Dec. 6, 1945. He later re-enlisted to serve during the Korean War. Mr. Boulerice was employed by ConRail Corp. as a truck driver for 15 years. Before that, he worked for U.S. Gypsum for 14 years and Hoosic Cotton Mills for 16 years. He was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and a life member of the Adams Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and raising rabbits. He and his wife, the former Katherine A. Benz, were married April 27, 1946. Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Michael E. Boulerice of Cheshire and Robert A. and Edward R. Boulerice, both of Pittsfield; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A son, Philip A. Boulerice, is deceased. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Arthur Alfred Boulerice, who died Wednesday, June 13, 2007, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's of Assumption Church by the Rev. David Raymond. DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow in Cheshire Cemetery. Calling hours will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in memory of Mr. Boulerice be made to the Cheshire Fire Department in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 445, Cheshire. Mr. Boulerice, who enjoyed spending time with his family, was also predeceased by a sister, Irene Descouteau.
