Ruth M. Bullett, 94

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Ruth Marion Bullett, 94, of 357 Walnut St. died Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at Williamstown Commons. Born in Adams on March 5, 1914, a daughter of Alexander and Eliza Smethurst Brown, she attended schools there and graduated from the former Adams High School. She moved to Jefferson, N.C., in 1944 and returned to the area in 1977. Mrs. Bullett was the town librarian in Jefferson. She also had worked at the North Adams Public Library and, during World War II, at the former Sprague Electric Company. Her husband, Thomas Lloyd Bullett Sr., whom she married April 10, 1933, died Jan. 1, 1977. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and was a former assistant leader of Girl Scout Troop 10, both in North Adams. She was longtime member of Order of the Eastern Star in North Adams and in Jefferson. She also was a member of the North Adams Odd Ladies. She leaves a daughter, Nola Ann Carli and her husband, Ivan, of North Adams; two sons, Thomas L. Bullett Jr. and his wife, Phyllis, of North Adams and Douglas James Bullett and his wife, Lenis, of Richmond, Va.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Alexander Brown. FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Ruth Bullett will take place Thursday at 11 at St. John's Episcopal Church in North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for the North Adams Ambulance Service through the funeral home.

I remember Sarge Bullett as on of my favorite scout leaders...always in control and so assured of herself..a true role model.My condolences to her family.
