Mary L. Parisien, 76
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Mary Louise Parisien, 76, of 586 Barbour St., died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at Sweet Brook Care Centers surrounded by her family, after a brief illness.
Born in Williamstown on May 30, 1934, daughter of Earl L. and Mary Donovan Green, she graduated from the former Williamstown High School with the class of 1952.
Mrs. Parisien worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. for about three years. Following her marriage, she was a devoted homemaker for her family.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church. She was a member of the Greylock Community Club and the Ladies' Auxiliary of Frank R. Stiles Post 125 American Legion. She loved gardening and bird watching. She was an active member of the Class of '52 monthly reunions and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and New England Patriots.
Her husband, Lorne Charles Parisien, whom she married on June 12, 1954, in St. Patrick's Church in Williamstown, died April 12, 2008.
She leaves three daughters, Nancy Bullett of North Adams, Michele Ingraham and her husband, Michael, of Elbert, Colo., and Renee Royal and her husband, Allan, of North Adams; a son, James M. Parisien and his wife, Mary Beth, of North Adams; a sister, Helen Lafave of Lenox; two brothers, Earl L. Green Jr. of Boyce, Va., and William Green;
six grandchildren, Brittany Bullett, Jeremy Bullett, Jason Ingraham, Timothy Ingraham, Sarah Royal and Gregory Royal; five great-grandchildren, Brendan Ingraham, Kailyn Ingraham, Wesley Ingraham, Kieren Ingraham and Terrell Bullett, and nieces and nephews.
Two sisters, Myrtle O'Hare and Elizabeth Diaz, and two brothers, Harold Green and Francis Green, are deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Mrs. Parisien will be Monday, Dec. 13, at 10:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Sunday, Dec. 12, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Conference at St. Elizabeth's Church in care of the funeral home.
