Carpenter Converts PK to Lift Mount Everett Boys

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Jack Carpenter converted a penalty kick in the 70th minute Wednesday to break a tie and give the Mount Everett boys soccer team a 2-1 win over Sabis.
 
Jacob TenBroeck broke a scoreless tie for the Eagles with a goal in the 47th minute, but the visitors bounced back and tied the match eight minutes later, setting the stage for Carpenter’s game-winner.
 
Michael Devoti earned the win in goal with 11 saves.
 
Mount Everett (6-4-2) takes a three-game winning streak into Friday’s home game against Wahconah.
