Monument Mountain Boys Edge Mount Greylock

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Aidan Santos scored in the 68th minute to give the Monument Mountain boys soccer team a 2-0 lead, and the Spartans hung on for a 2-1 win over Mount Greylock on Wednesday.
 
Noel Powell had given Monument Mountain an early lead with a goal assisted by Jackson Blanchard in the 10th minute.
 
After Santos’ goal made it a two-score margin, Luke Swann set up Finn Welch to get the Mounties within a goal.
 
Rhys Curtis stopped five shots to earn the win in net.
 
David Falk had five saves for Mount Greylock (0-3), which hosts Longmeadow on Saturday at MCLA.
 
Monument Mountain (3-1) goes to Wahconah next Thursday.
