AGAWAM, Mass. -- The Lenox volleyball team may have one more chance to beat perennial power Lee this fall.

And it would come with a trip to the sectional final on the line.

Lee and Lenox were seeded second and third, respectively, when the Western Massachusetts Division 3 volleyball seedings were released on Tuesday morning.

Both teams received a bye into the quarter-finals, bypassing the first-round games scheduled for Thursday night.

In those first-round matchups, the Mount Greylock and Wahconah squads will be playing Mahar and Ware, respectively.

Seventh-seeded Wahconah (14-6) will host No. 10 Ware (15-5) at 6:30 Thursday evening in Ed Ladley Gymnasium.

No. 9 Mount Greylock (10-9) goes on the road to face No. 8 Mahar (14-6) on Thursday night.

If the Mounties pull off the upset, they will face an even bigger challenge, Monday at No. 1 Frontier (12-6).

Wahconah will be playing for the right to visit No. 2 Lee (17-1) in the quarters.

No. 3 Lenox awaits the winner of Thursday's game between No. 11 Mohawk (9-9) and No. 6 South Hadley (14-4).
