PALMER, Mass. -- Ryan Baran carded a 43 to earn medalist honors, win his match, 3.5.-.5 and lead the McCann Tech golf team to a 19.5-4.5 win over Pathfinder on Friday.

The Hornets won five of the six matches with five scores under 50.

Matt Jette and Dylynn Hardee finished at 46, Nick Thayer carded a 48, and Sam Ingalls finished at 49 to pick up a 4-0 win.

“There was a great deal of sportsmanship among our players and Pathfinder's players, which is always refreshing to see,” McCann Tech assistant coach Chris Carr said. “Dylynn Hardee came in strong for one of her best matches yet, and Nick Thayer also delivered well on the course, landing a birdie on one of his holes early in the match.”

McCann Tech goes to Westfield Tech on Tuesday.
