McCann Tech Girls Pick Up Win at Tri-Meet

WESTHAMPTON, Mass. -- Camryn Moran placed 11th overall Tuesday to lead the McCann Tech girls cross country team to a dual meet win over St. Mary’s of Westfield.
 
Moran ran the 2.9-mile course in 24 minutes, 51 seconds to help the Hornets to a 25-30 win and a 1-1 record on the day.
 
The winner at the tri-meet, Hampshire Regional’s Sylvie Mahon-Moore, won in 19:20 as her squad earned wins against both McCann Tech and St. Mary’s.
 
Rebecca Valliers, Amy Harrington, Lily Marceau and Maia Dilego each scored for McCann Tech’s girls.
 
The Hornets’ boys beat St. Mary’s in a walkover as the Saints only had two finishers.
 
Brandon Miller and Daniel McGrory placed 11th and 12th, respectively, to lead McCann Tech with tims of 19:46 and 20:13. Hampshire’s Guillian Marconi won the boys’ race in 17:01.
 
Jordan Greenbush, Chris Sunn and Noah Rozan each scored for the Hornets.
 
McCann Tech hosts Pioneer next Tuesday.
