NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Hayden Bona scored twice and set up another goal, and Dallas Ritcher secured the 100th point of his career on Senior Night Saturday as the McCann Tech hockey team beat Taconic, 8-2, at the Peter W. Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Rink.

Ritcher got the scoring started with a goal in the 10th minute.

The Hornets then built a 5-0 lead with scores from Henry Easton, Bona, Mason Rondeau and Nolan Booth.

Taconic got on the board midway through the second when Johnny Ireland scored on a power play opportunity, and Philip Enoch cashed in the rebound of a Luke Fenig shot to get the margin down to three goals.

But McCann Tech got a score from Everett Bayliss in the final minute of the second, and Kaleb Munson and Bona tacked on goals in the third to put the game away.

Joseph Schneider stopped 35 shots in Taconic’s goal.

Ben Harris made 16 saves to earn the win for the Hornets.
