Mount Greylock Girls, Mount Everett Boys Earn Tennis Wins

SHEFFIELD, Mass. – William Volmer battled to a three-set win at first singles Friday to lead the Mount Everett boys tennis team to a 3-2 win over Mount Greylock.
 
Volmer outlasted Drew Scanlon, 7-5, 4-6, 6-3, to give the Eagles their only point in singles. Mount Everett’s doubles tandems of Jay Seward Dailey/Philip Enoch and Aiden Murray/Charles Vion did the rest.
 
In the girls match, Mount Greylock cruised to a 5-0 win with five straight-set victories.
 
The Mounties first doubles pair of Effie Skinner and Clarissa Louis turned in a dominant 6-0, 6-0 performance.
