Sniezek Birdies Three Holes, Leads Hoosac Valley Golfers to Win

ADAMS, Mass. -- Henry Sniezek carded a 3-over-par round of 37 on Thursday to lead the Hoosac Valley golf team to a 172-190 win over Taconic at Forest Park Country Club.

 

Sniezek opened his round with a birdie on the 270-yard, par-4 first hole and closed with a birdie on the 277-yard, par-4 ninth. In between, he birdied the 157-yard, par-3 third hole.

 

Mike Kays led Taconic with a 39.

 

The Hurricanes once again placed all six of their players in the 40s or better. Luc Trombley (44) and Derek Alibozek (45) scored along with either Corben Craig and Colby Rougeau, who each finished at 46.

 

Connor Champoux carded a 44 for Taconic, which hosts Bennington, Vt.’s, Mount Anthony on Monday.

 

Hoosac Valley goes to Pittsfield on Tuesday.
