DALTON, Mass. – Sam McLaughlin Monday carded a 1-under-par 34 to lead the Wahconah golf team to a 154-163 win over Lenox.

McLaughlin birdied the fifth, sixth and seventh holes on his way to earning medalist honors.

Kesler Anello birdied No. 1 and No. 8 on his way to a 1-over round of 36.

The sixth hole was good to the field, yielding birdies to Wahconah’s Logan Aitken and Devin Colombari and Lenox’s Noah Pinsonneault, in addition to McLaughlin.

And the teams were solid all around, with no scores higher than 49 recorded.

“We played very well throughout the lineup tonight,” Wahconah coach Pete Terpak said. “I thought both teams played very well. It was a very good match.

"Great night for Caleb [Colombari],  I'm proud of the way he came through for us in the final group.”
